About PlantPets

PlantPets is a project by dejaPi Script Lab, founded by Bruce Liebknecht.

PlantPets began in 2007 as a Second Life project dedicated to creating growing flowers and plants that interact with their owners like virtual pets. Over the years, it has grown into a large collection featuring hundreds of PlantPets, including roses, orchids, hibiscus varieties, and many other species.

PlantPets combine decorative design with interactive gameplay. They grow over time, respond to care, and express their happiness when kept healthy. When nurtured well, they can also produce transferable baby seeds, allowing breeders to expand their collections and share them with others.

Official Second Life groups

  • PlantPets – The main official group for PlantPets news, updates, and customer support. Members also receive a discount at the PlantPets Main Store.
  • PlantPets Main Store & Market – This group is reserved for tenants at the PlantPets Market.
  • PlantPet Lovers – A community group where PlantPets breeders can advertise their seeds, shops, and related offers.

Terms and Conditions

dejaPi PlantPets reserves the following rights and limitations:

  1. dejaPi PlantPets is not responsible for any real or perceived damage or loss arising from the use of PlantPets.
  2. dejaPi PlantPets may stop delivering PlantPets and/or PlantPet babies (seeds) at any time in the future and is not responsible for any real or perceived damage or loss that may result from this.
  3. dejaPi PlantPets reserves the right to make changes to the status of any PlantPet and to the PlantPets breeding scheme.
  4. dejaPi PlantPets reserves the right to maintain database records outside Second Life, including:
    • the name and UUID of each avatar who owns a PlantPet seed or PlantPet;
    • the unique ID of each PlantPet, its coordinates in Second Life, and the identity of its owner;
    • the PlantPet points accumulated by an avatar.
  5. dejaPi PlantPets reserves the right to make the PlantPet points accumulated by an avatar publicly available.
  6. dejaPi PlantPets is not responsible for PlantPet products sold by PlantPet breeders or affiliates.
  7. dejaPi PlantPets reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time in the future.
